I don't know if this is the same for any one else, but.
if I'm walking(and I walk rather fast), or driving, and some schmuck sees me coming fast, will pull out in front of me and slowly go, or even stop.

I'm usually a nice polite person, but those times, I'd like to have an AR15.just sayin.

It could be that the other driver has a reason for being in a hurry
also
if i think that another road user might be a bit crazed; then i would rather they were in front of me than behind,

Yes! It's some sort of bizarre control thing imo. I've often wondered what goes through their heads. Are they offended that I am moving quickly? Does my having a purpose and a focused goal make them feel threatened? Just wtf?

If that is the biggest problem you are dealing with, you are truly blessed.

It's not my biggest problem, it was just something that happened at the supermarket, and I was still mad when I got home.
But vented here, and all better.

You're in Florida. Land 'o the Geriatrics . Imagine that's a common issue there.

Yes, that is true. I don't know who coined it, but the called Florida "god's waiting room". that's pretty funny.

@TristanNuvo there are suburbs around here, one in particular, that I refer to as "New Floriduh" lol

I always try to practice empathy and one way is to not react (honking, cussing, etc.) when on the road. You don't actually know the other driver's motivation for doing stupid or rude things do you? So imagine a sick baby is being rushed to care or a loved one has just been rushed to hospital. Reacting negatively is just wasting your own energy.

Someone going fast could yes, be going to the hospital, with someone haemorrhaging. Someone going slow could be looking for something, have a fault with the car, a delicate cargo. Who knows, tolerance is the heart of good manners and safety.
