Under your libertarian statement of principles you deny the government to restrict in any way the life, liberty, free speech or censorship, and property.
To make a silly example what if the people chose to build their individual homes in a random manner so that a straight street could not be constructed? According to your principles i could elect to do so at the inconvenience of all others! For that matter there would not be any regulations as to how to build my home: what wire gauge to use for electricity, how to build a wall, fireplace or rafters for the ceiling. I could use any materials and assemble them in any shape I want. I could make my house out of bottles if I want, correct?

Sealioning (also spelled sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment which consists of pursuing people with persistent requests for evidence or repeated questions, while maintaining a pretense of civility.[1][2][3] The troll pretends ignorance and feigns politeness, so that if the target is provoked into making an angry response, the troll can then act as the aggrieved party.[4][5] Sealioning can be performed by a single troll or by multiple ones acting in concert.[6] The technique of sealioning has been compared to the Gish gallop and metaphorically described as a denial-of-service attack targeted at human beings.[6] [en.wikipedia.org]

Not me i just want them to explain how their system would work. it does not seem feasable without a government. it is anarchy and a return to middle ages at best.

@Marine no you don’t want to hear the answers or do any research to actually learn something. That’s the very definition of sealioning.

You said it... a silly example indeed.

again, who are you calling a libertarian? you're addressing the general ag dot com public here. your point about libertarians in this case (not necessarily in your other posts) is apt but your presentation is offensive. most of us bothering to read them obviously are not libertarians and wouldn't be libertarians.

g

Please look at my remarks to spike

@Marine i don't see anyone here named spike.

g

@genessa In my file he is right above you.

@Marine maybe he is someone i blocked, or someone who blocked me. i don't see him, and my post is, as of this typing, at the top.

" could elect to do so at the inconvenience of all others!"
By that limping, drooling excuse for logic murder is allowed too, since for some reason there are no laws against impacting on the wellbeing on others.

Find a liberal philosopher who say 'liberal' means I get to do whatever I want to anyone I want wherever I want whenever I want, and maybe there'd be a discussion worth having.
Since there is no such thing I'm not sure even you know what you're talking about.

Ultimately full libertarianism would not work. For it to work would mean people would have to live like they did I'm antiquity. People would need their own tribes again. Even then you still have someone in control which would defeat the purpose.

What we need is something in between. At the end of the day some people have to control things since so many people are terrible at operating on their own and can't help take advantage.

Full libertarianism would result in constant warfare.

M: Babe, get my rifle! That fuckers trying to build a street through our town again!

F: Fuck you! Get your own rifle!

Lmao it just doesn't work. Wonderful idea and as much as I love freedom, no. Just no lol.

You obviously don’t understand the LP platform in property ownership.

exactly -- because libertarians are mistaken for liberals because "liber" is in the word, but in fact libertarianism is the ultimate selfishness. it has nothing to do with freedom. with freedom comes responsibility. freedom without responsibility is just selfishness. so... not at ALL a wonderful idea. a fake idea posing as being about freedom, being about liberalism. it is neither.

g

@SkotlandSkye you obviously don't understand the human mentality. I bet you're an optimist as well ? whether you are or not you clearly can't see this properly. Not surprising at all though.

@genessa lmao I'm not mistaking it for liberals. Seems like you too are the ones having understanding issues. Have fun with that 🙂

@gueronihilista i didn't say you did. i guess you had some difficulty understanding me.

g

@gueronihilista you're one of those people that lie, cheat, and steal the moment they can get away with it, aren't you? Just because you act in an inhumane way toward your fellow humans doesn't mean that others also are morally decrepit and lacking in humanity.

@SkotlandSkye Please enlighten me.

oh no! another house being made from bottles! it's anarchy!!! LOL

Uh oh... I need to go run to my safe space now😉

Why should people not build their homes on their property as they see fit?

Why should someone not be allowed to construct a home as they want?

Are you aware that there are homes made from bottles?

Bottom line: Your questions are dumb.
But, hell, I once wore a uniform to protect your freedom to ask dumb questions.

Enjoy this photo of a house made from bottles.

While I do not agree with him and think he is also being sardonic I think he meant in a completely free libertarian world how would that work. In regards to lines of division I mean.

Yeah, you can build your house but who chooses what property belongs to who?

If everyone can then you will now either have to hope you can agree or battle. Hence my joke about a human getting mad that another human is trying to make a road through what he FEELS is his town.

@gueronihilista your failure to understand the LP platform on property rights and ownership is your error, not theirs.

@SkotlandSkye and your failure to understand how humans can't help but operate is your error. It's okay, the majority doesn't seem to be able to understand that either lmao.

@gueronihilista How you operate is NOT how I operate...therefore, I propose that YOU have a narrow-minded idea of how humans operate and are so blinded by your own prejudices that you can't see any other way. It's ok, most humans are also that narrow-minded and blind.

@gueronihilista I am not trying to start trouble as so many have suggested but truly want to discuss their platform to see how they would work in the real world. The question might sound stupid but would you want to build a 1,000,000 dollar house next to a hut made of mud., and the next home made of odd pieces of wood. I guess i am asking what kind of neighborhood would you like according to libertarian rules where everyone does what ever they wish on their property.

Your statement why shouldn't people build houses as they want to is stupid. There is a good reason for building codes and insurance companies demand them if you want to insure. Banks require insurance to loan money. Like it or not someone is going to set rules ,codes if you want to live in a community.

@Marine but you are answering your own questions

If people want insurance, then they will comply with certain codes.
If people want mortgages or to resell at some point, they will comply with codes.

Codes can be written by organizations that represent plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc.

Why do YOU or anyone else get to dictate what sort of house someone builds on their own property??? Who cares what the neighborhood "looks" like.....you should care more about individual rights and freedoms and leave your neighbors alone.

@SkotlandSkye Sorry but i do not agree. This would be anarchy and a return to the middle ages.

@Marine sorry you feel such a crazy and insane need to control your fellow humans and force them to do what YOU want and live how you think they should live. I’m glad you’re not in charge. One crazy person in the White House trying to control everything is enough.

@SkotlandSkye You would have different codes in every city and town nothing would be uniform the whole idea is rediculas. The idea that people would step up to pay for roads hospitals schools is plain nonsense. Once you agree for someone to set rules laws and regulations you now have a government.

@Marine Make sure you tell every homeowner's association that they should let the government make all their decisions instead of the people in the neighborhood. Did I ever say that neighborhoods couldn't form their own organization? No, I didn't. People should only pay for their own location IF THEY WANT. Stop trying to justify theft.

@SkotlandSkye I can just see 50000000 neighborhoods all with their own rules Good luck with that. Good bye.

@Marine It still amazes me that you don't see how great that is....allowing people the right to determine what to do with their own property. I still am shocked at how much you want to limit other people's freedom and DICTATE what they do with their property that they paid for.

Are you currently harboring the delusion that every HOA has the exact same set of rules in every state and every location? No. They make up rules that benefit the people IN THEIR SPECIFIC location....as they should. What works in Phoenix, AZ won't work in Brooklyn, NY and the farmer out in rural PA farms very differently than the farmers in rural IA.

If you had your way, I'm sure all the houses would be painted the exact same color too and have identical floor plans.

FFS, let people do what they WANT! It's freedom!

@SkotlandSkye I am sorry but you need to do more research. I worked in the insurance industry for 40 years. If you sell insurance in NY you must apply the same rules in every other state that you plan to sell in. The whole system of communications, building codes, rules and regulations are designed to make life easier and are not there to harm individual rights. Can you imagine the mess we would have if every person designed their own plumbing, electrical, ethics, rules, etc. It would be sheer madness. However once you set up rules of any kind you now have formed a government. It soon becomes common sense to use this system on a wider scope and government expands. It is not harmful to set rules regulations and laws that everyone can live by. What is wrong is when we allow this system to be used unlawfully. This is where the oversight becomes necessary. It isn't about taking anyones personal rights it is about using the might of many to make life easier for everyone. No one would condone murder and who would decide if it was rightful or a crime. It is a government that carries out this function and imposes the punishment. To think you could exist without any government is nonsense and just let everyone run around with their personal rights. Again once you impose any rules regulations laws you have a government no matter how small it is and sometime it is going the conflict with an individuaals rights..

@Marine but you are stupidly assuming that everyone is going to "design their own plumbing" etc. Why would anyone try to reinvent the wheel? Again, I answered that when I said that plumbing organizations, electrical organizations, etc. could create their own standards/codes to be used universally -- no government needed if all skilled labor is doing it the same. No one is going to install European outlets in the USA. You are creating drama and issues where there isn't any. (sealioning) How many people actually build their own homes? Would builders do weird things if they want people to buy? If you hope to sell your home in the future, would you not do it in the best possible and safest manner? Again....I've said ALL OF THIS in other comments....which YOU IGNORE. (sealioning). YOU refuse to "hear" or understand. Maybe you are really really that dense.

@SkotlandSkye Have a nice day.

@Marine Exactly. You refuse to listen and to hear.....so you've learned nothing and will continue to ask stupid questions that have already been asked and answered and continue to attack Libertarians instead of learning something. Typical sealioning troll behavior.

Stop asking ridiculous questions and do the research yourself.
You are just trying to cause trouble and divisiveness because you have some personal ax to grind.
It's annoying and borders on trolling.
Don't be "That" person.
