And I had heard nothing about this Moon lander. Maybe because it's not American?

Yeah, but nobody was specific on whether they used earth soil or moon dust to grow the seeds in. If the Chinese had used moon dust it would have been that much more exciting, the first bit of farming off the earth’s surface.

True! I bet it was Earth soil.

I find it sad and pathetic that neither NASA nor ESA had already done this.

It did make me envious. I remember the early days of the space race and thinking we'd be doing this. No. We're worried about stupid walls. Not this wonderfully fun and exciting stuff. Sigh.
