Last of the Summer Wine

--- I love this show and can relate to it on many levels. One of the things I noticed after I turned 55 or so was that my filters disappeared. I just don't care what people think of my opinions and am quite happy to speak my very blunt (but never cruel) opinions.

Also, I seem to find things either terribly sad or terribly funny... stupid people crack me up much more than make me mad these days. I feel somewhat detached, more an observer than a participant.

Anyone else find that after their 50's that your point of view radically changed?

Most definitely.
I changed a lot at thirty five, then again at fifty.

The future worries me more now as I see 1000 years of progress being thrown in to the fires of stupidity an ignorance for false comfort a profit.
The worship of youth over experience and compassionate derided as weak while stubbornness is hailed as strength for the trading correct answers for desirable ones and this constituting a new acceptable truth

I never told people I was an atheist until I was 50. Now I can't shut up about it.
