And also signaling his intentions, hinting for a pardon, if anyone is in power by the time this is all over who would pardon Trump's cronies.

Thank you!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that.
He knows there's been illegal activity. He knows 45 is in it up to his eyeballs.
