Wednesday it is forecasted to be -11 F. Sunday 40F. weather in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin.
I just this weekend welcomed my rescue dog from North Carolina to Wisconsin. The poor thing won't even go outside (it was -4 when I brought him home). It's supposed to be at least this bad all week. I guess I need to be resigned to accidents in the house for a bit. At least he's chosen places that are easy to clean up. But he's spending most of his time on one of his beds, covered up with blankets (he's an American Foxhound mix)
We are currently enduring a cool 60F. Tuesday night is supposed to be 26F and people here are very concerned about such a hard freeze.
Just had to needle y’all. We suffer plenty in July and August.
Once, when I was younger, I thought I'd grow a beard. But I lived in a region of ferocious, arctic-like winters. And if I stayed outside for any length of time, stalactites of ice would grow in my whiskers, causing them to clank like wind chimes, when I walked. I finally got tired of clinking, and shaved the thing off!
