Serious suggestion for this site. @admin I raised about a year ago, but now I think there's good evidence that it should be followed. I had commented on how the discussion (non-dating side of this site) had too much of a Facebook/Twitter feed feel. That the discussion side of this site might benefit from a message board style. This would reduce multiple threads on the same topic. Given (1) scam accounts being created and (2) yesterday's "What are you tired of?" thread (title paraphrased), I think there's good evidence for reconsidering the format.
I like it just fine the way it is. Even on all the message boards I've been on topics get repeated when new people join.
@LimitedLight So.
I disagree. The format is fine as is. We are doing a fair job of dealing with the scammers, trolls, and the like. Witness Trolls, Scammers, and Nigerian Russian Wives:Report Them Here. As for the repeat posts, any place experiencing growth and large membership is going to see redundancy in input. This is not an experiment in IT efficiency. It is a social endeavor that appears to be doing rather well.
@LimitedLight -- You see something you know is a repeat, don't respond. Remember, you and I are not alone and that means that every day there are new people joining this site who have not seen that question. Let them respond to it while you and I move on to other things. Simple. I like simple. Further, ad populum arguments don't fly.
What you are saying here is on the order of, writers should stop writing because there are a limited number of plot lines and they were all used a few hundred years ago.
@LimitedLight -- Yes, dear....
