Agreed! The all loving god throwing you into the fire is just another part of the indoctrination designed to control weak people. Doing the right thing happens when you practice integrity in all actions of your life. Integrity boils down to doing what is right whether someone is watching even if you never get credit for it! Your reward is the warm fuzzy feeling you get inside for doing it Fuck what others think they know about you! Its what you know about you!

I still don't know what would motivate me, but I do know that it not a supernatural monster.

My philosophy is humanism. So whatever is best for humans is my guiding principle. Behaving nicely towards others fits right in with that. Being productive is my nature so I don't need much encouragement to keep me productive.
