Hey Mr. White man. Here's an appropriate article for Black History Month. LOL!!! [msn.com]
What about the tens of thousands killed by the Mayans, Incans, and Aztecs? What did that lead to?
Please note the sarcasm?
Well, whadaya know? That triggered the Little Ice Age. Whoda thunk it?
There is a book titled "1491" about how many indigenous peoples there were here before the 'white' man came. So from the article I get that that the creation of farms (most plains indians were nomads and hunter gatherers) actually cause a sort of mini-climate warming period and the recovery of forests brought back the temp. to a more 'normal' state. Also, there is a movement (it is big here) to replace Columbus Day with indigenous people's recognition day. Also, remember this when you are told we are a nation of immigrants.
I once had a black boss and he and I were close and teased each other a lot (he had an interesting history). He would talk about Black History month and I would ask why was the shortest and one of the darkest and coldest months of the year chosen?
Imagine a room full of containers and each had a brain in them. Could we discern which was white, black, indigenous? How we think is the only thing that separates us.
@IAJO163 The thing that separates us is how we live our lives and how we think. Nothing else.
@JackPedigo I think I just said that.
Yeah it’s feasible but I’m pretty sure that the plague and the crusades most likely would’ve had a similar effect.
You know more Mr. White man shit but fuck it all that keeping score shit does is just verify what most of us already know. But thanks for sharing nonetheless.
One thing about me is that I try to promote humor in most of what I do. I don't keep a scorecard so please note the sarcasm when it comes to posts like these. I live in a city that I refer to as "happily angry" and I'm not anymore.
@IAJO163 I’ve never heard that expression, but I sure feel that way sometimes! ?
