I work in the States my counter parts in other countries make much less than I do.

I meant an English heart surgeon several years ago and he work for the NHS but he also had private patients. He was definitely very wealthy. I'm wondering if it is still true whether or not Canadian and English medical personnel can still work privately as well as for the National Health Systems. I'm also wondering how many hours a week they work and those countries

The Average Canadian nursing salary is $36/hour which is the same as the American.

Also in Canada, we do not have PA’s. We do have NP’s but not in the cities. They are used for rural areas and reserves.

I am a British senior clinical practitioner (sort of advanced nurse) : I don't work as a fulltime nurse now but as a band 7, I would earn about £42,000.
Thats basic, there is about another £8k in enhancements. I actually took a huge drop in salary to come into education fulltime.
An FY1 (First year intern doctor) earns £40k. Depending on speciality, area and trust a senior consultant can earn up to about £200k a year. There is NO requirement for us to have personal litigation insurance as this is generally covered by employers and unions. The NHS has up to 8 weeks paid annual leave, we get paid sick and have fabulous pensions. The university where I work isn't anywhere near as generous.

Watch the documentary Sicko. Doctors get paid less in other countries with universal. Moore interviewed a doctor in I think the UK. They had a nice house and nice vehicles. The doctor said something along the lines of "if you want a dozen nice cars, and a few nice houses, you have to move to the US". They seemed happy on what they made.
