The takeaway from Trump's State of the Union: "We want America to be the shining hope of the world", but by god, don't you try to come here if you're a refugee. I'm going to get that wall built and keep the rest of the world out. No "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses"... we don't want that crap.

So, you can hope as much as you want, admire as much as you want, but it will be for nothing. You're not getting in here.

What a joke. America is universally hated for their foreign policy. military adventures abroad and interference in the politics of other countries.

“Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor I'll piss on 'em. That's what the Statue of Bigotry says.
Your poor huddled masses? Let's club 'em to death
and get it over with and just dump 'em on the boulevard”-Lou Reed: Dirty Boulevard ??

America has lost that shining hope of the world many, many years ago.

@jorj People want to come because they don't know about what is going on. Not even a huge proportion of Americans know. Just look at the lower classes they have no clue and think what politicians tell them that all the wealth will trickle down.
