To the lady who asked about my piano career: I lost your email! I never had a lesson but I snuck thru music school (Bachelor's/Grad) and had a great career. That pic is weird. Taken with a flashlight. It's my C-3 Yamaha Grand and my 1970 B-3 and mini-moog. B-3 was painted red, white and blue with stars , lightng bolts and stripes. Made a small fortune renting it to the British invasion for 5 years. Just semi-retired from 37 straight years with only Tuesdays off. Tell me about your career! s

What was the style of music you most enjoyed playing. I was forced to take piano lessons as a kid, I really wanted to learn the drums. The piano is a percussion instrument just not what I wanted to play.
I do like listening to almost all sorts of piano but enjoy jazz the most.

My late grandfather tuned pianos for a living after retiring from Sears. I've fond memories of being given the job of crunching rotten bakelite when he had to replace an "action".
Both my maternal grandparents played. Then we discovered my daughter had a desire to learn. Very cool pianos.
I was more visual side of creativity, but was taught to play bits of hungarian rhapsody courtesy of my love of Bugs Bunny.

@ocelot50 He had strobes as "back ups", was said to have perfect pitch. He was a doll, everyone loved him. He spoiled me rotten, as did my grandmother.
I wonder what happened to his strobes?? They were ancient. Old sci fi, jetsons looking things.
I'm sure he would have been fascinated by you as well. He loved to talk, but wasn't 'one of those' you couldn't tear away from if you had to. 🙂
