Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Oh, good grief. No one knows what Jesus looked like so no one can say there was a "remarkable resemblance" between the two men. Indeed, the typical Western "Sallman's head" depiction of Jesus (rendered in 1940, BTW) is probably not very much what he was apt to have looked like anyway, even assuming he existed at all. And that is more or less what is being used for the comparison.

He may have looked like the medieval depiction of Jesus with long hair and a beard but it is unlikely that a Greek would have blonde hair and blue eyes.
