1. Mary Tyler "Molly" Ivins was an American newspaper columnist, author, political commentator, and humorist. She coined the moniker "Village Idiot" for President George W. Bush.

2. Frank McCourt, Irish/American author who won the Pulitzer Prize for his first book, "Angela's Ashes." I loved his sense of humor.

Yes, Frank McCourt's first book was published when he was 60. He waited until he retired from teaching.
