Maybe someone can explain this to me . . . .
How is it, that U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, in suggesting that Israeli influence in the U.S. Congress was "all about the Benjamins." - proves her to be anti-semitic? Clearly there are indeed politicians who are taking money from AIPAC, so how exactly does that translate to an anti-semitic statement?

Many think that any criticism of Isreali policy is the same as being anti-Semitic. It is not. You can criticize Isreali policy and not be opposed to the state of Isreal. AIPAC is not an innocent lobby organization. They support policies that are harmful and unethical with regards to the treatment of the Palestinian within Isreal.
Criticism of Isreal is not monolithic, i.e. either/or. You are supportive of Isreal and never criticize, or you are opposed to Isreal because you criticized their policy.

Sometimes the best defense is an offense.
This is the response to all of the newer progressives that have entered our government last year by both republicans and old guard democrats.

@powder There’s an interview somewhere in a magazine ( Newsweek I think) where they interviewed a former mossad director and asked if they had spies here in America?
He chuckled and replied that there was no need for them to do so because we are allies.
Well what he didn’t tell people is that they don’t need to because there’s Jewish people in damn near every aspect of our government and since they have dual citizenship between the two they can just go to Israel and share whatever with their family member that most likely works for the Israeli government.
And also they can serve in both military’s without question.
There is no making sense of anything 'mercan politicians do or say.

makes sense to me.
money talks, just like she said. they have the money they get to call the shots.
other critics of israel or of the inordinate power of the american israeli lobby were soundly defeated in re-elections.
in a fiat money system this it what it always comes down.
