I was at work with a gal and we were discussing abortions and adoptions. When I told her our federal and state governments that they do indeed help with adoptions, she proceeded to tell me it's gods govenment. Created by god..... is there any logic left? I am 26 years young and she is 23... It's hard to stay silent and see the ignorance blossom. How many Americans do believe it's gods govenment? And maybe we should have no religon in govenment, you wear your cross, hijab headwear, and your white cap at home or your church. Take ALL religious wear out of government! Stop letting this death cult into the working world. Stop tax breaks for churches. God's government my ass..... intelligent design? Hahahaha rant over

No tax dollars go for abortions!!! Very very little for adoptions, too...usually a Huge expensive burden on the adopting family. Foster care is heavily subsidized however.
Some Planned Parenthood service is itsupported by taxes (although less & less) but not abortions.
The Constitution states firmly that religion is none of the governments' business already...this intrusion by religion into OUR government is very, very dangerous!

I do not think she said money is going for abortions. And I think that there is a chance some government agencies help if you are going to adapt a child.

@yamaha45701 she was discussing adoption & abortion and I let no opportunity go by to straighten out misconceptions about tax dollars & their use.

@AnneWimsey 1st I never said gov gives money to abortions. I know that it dose not!(was part of our discussion) 2nd Yes our federal government dose give money to people who adopt as well as the individual states (some more than others). I fully believe in a secular government and find it hard when people tell me it's gods government. There seems no hope in trying to prusaude others into rational thinking and is occasionally baffling to me to no end.

It's hard to continue a conversation after something like that. This place is my sanctuary from those sorts of conversations.

Yeah I stopped talking and she continued on. I died inside a little lol

There must be separation between governments and religion. That is what I know for sure.
