Well, today,I did something for myself.I got some stem cell treatment for arthritis of the hips. It consists of cells removed from a placenta or umbilical cord of a c-section birth. These cells are supposed to stimulate the growth of new cells produced by one's own body. This is state of the art stuff going through trials and may soon be approved (and become eligible for Medicare reibursement.)

Hoping for the best. Santa Cruz Co? I used to live in Scotts Valley and work in Santa Cruz. So beautiful, I miss it everyday.

@PalacinkyPDX That's where the hill folk live.

Very sinful claim the evangelicals you are acting like a god. Were not sure which one yet.

Well, to act like god you'd have to drown nearly all humans because of your mistake, make laws demanding you stone rebellious children to death, or laws to stone to death people that pick up sticks on Saturday, etc. To act like god you'd have to punish people for doing what you preprogrammed them to do, etc.
Yeah, helping a natural process along is not "acting like god". ?

This process works by utilizing the placenta and umbilical cords of women having c sections. These items would be otherwise be discarded. My God, if she exists,l would approve.

@soquel Any medical use is just great but we have some religious nuts that just can't get by their religious beliefs as wrong as they might be.

Good luck.

Great pic. I hope this treatment works. Let us know, I have arthiritis.

That's what they are especially treating.

Best of luck, I would love to know how it turns out.

Will do; stay tuned; if it works, I'll stage a public burning of my handicapped placard.

Good for you, and how exciting! Is there a forecast expectation on when you could notice results?

Not enough cases and no immediate pattern detected about when results may be expected. Doc said some have immediate effects(placebo effect?) but the stem cells are supposed to replicate more youthful cell production-ongoing- which could take a number of months.

Different results months to two years.

@soquel Awesome, thanks for letting me know, and you've obviously created quite an interest with ALL of us in the arthritis era!

Please keep us updated. Many of us gray haired will appreciate a treatment.

This is cutting edge stuff, on it's way to approval by the FDA. Some day they will be able to turn your grey hair back to its original color, I figure.

@soquel Hey, I can do that myself, though it requires regular maintenance. If/when successful stem cell tx for arthritis launches mainstream, I will be in line to get my ankles back to original function!

Wow. That is amazing. I hope you get great results.

Thank you for your support, This Life.
