What's the next National Emergency? Godless heathens destroying the American way of life? Time to round them up and isolate them from the God-fearing society-at-large? What about non-Christians?
Trump might not do it, but what about Pence?
And worse, if the Senate is still under Republican majority if it happens, they might very well not oppose such action.

Trump finally admitted that there is NO national emergency. Just wanted the wall built faster... I posted a link in the Trump Pinata group on it.

He actually admitted that when he announced it. It's been in the news generally. But I can easily see SCOTUS upholding it, and Republicans in Congress not doing anything about it.
