The bottom middle was probably the model for ET

This concept is called ontogeny. Most fetus in the subPhylum Vertebrata form similarly until the later stages of the fetal devolpment.

For awhile there was a saying in biology; "Ontogeny recapitulates Phylogeny". This meant the stages of fetal development followed a pattern that was reflective of thier evolutionary development from fish to mammal. This saying no longer in favor in the evolutionay Biology ranks.
