Apparently I'm quite naive concerning the persecution of Agnostics in the real world.
I've not experienced this myself. I apologize if I've been insensitive concerning hiding identities here. Here's some cartoons to either lighten the mood, or really piss everyone off:

It is dangerous for some...people don't want you to be around their children in case you indoctrinate them (like religion is not indoctrination...)...private lessons and tutoring depends on word of mouth, so I am careful about who knows what...I could be Satanist and that is better than being an atheist...sheesh

Wait! Didn't I see you at the last child sacrifice to Satan?

@bigpawbullets.the thing that looks like an alter is really just hay bales set up for bow hunting practice...I thought I explained that already...lol

Unfortunately some of the Christains get stirred up quite easily. I have a lot of Christain friends who are very good people and for the most part don’t throw their religion at me so I generally try to avoid confrontation.

Good grief, man... Must you continue to be such a heartless, cynical, cantankerous, boorish, arrogant, intolerant Machiavellian? How DO you live with yourself?

We still going out for beers tonight? 😉

I'll buy the first round.

When I first got on here, I posted something similar....apparently I am Damn lucky to be living in New England!

I live in a rural part of Alabama, in the heart of the mis-labeled “Bible Belt” and there are non-believers all around me. There might be attempts at indoctrination from time to time but I’ve never seen persecution.

Nevertheless, New England truly is a great place IMO.

Everywhere is somewhat to massively different in how people view others. I would say agnostics get a better shake than atheists. Some countries being either can literally get you killed. Here in the states try traveling through the bible belt while wearing an Agnostics tee shirt and see how welcome you are. Most people will ignore you or ahem you, but ......be prepared for being verbally accosted. Unless you try the bars, here is irony, most won't physically attack you.
