Most people would consider you a Theist. Others might consider you a Deist, depending on how you view the nature of God.

You need to give a bigger explanation between each of those things. It takes many steps to go from deism to theism.

Believe what you believe for as long as it makes sense to you. No one has any proof of anything different.

Is this creator a sentient being or just the collective forces of nature?

@Matias
That distinction is likely more relevant to the OP’s question than mine is, but it doesn’t offer an option that is, in my opinion, possible in the light of current scientific knowledge. If god is just a personification of the collective forces of nature, then I can relate to her question. Otherwise, my answer is that she is a theist, or at least a deist.

I was looking something about Ben Franklin a few days ago and the article I had read called him a deist however this is the first time I had heard this and I do not believe the person reporting this was exactly honest. Deist [en.wikipedia.org]

A form of theist. Theists do not have to believe in the Abrahamic God. Just a God-figure, aka. Creator
