I find it sad nowadays how politicians want free trade agrements for money and stuff, but walls and bombs for people.

The intent of the Berlin Wall was to keep people from leaving the East. The intent of the Southern Border Wall is to keep people out. Both reflect poorly evolved regressive thinking. Both are symbols of authoritarian policy enforcement. One is now a bad memory of a bygone era. The other is less of a tangible barrier and more of an intangible necessity to boost an inept leader's ego.
