Oh, yes, books are powerful entities, and I have known them to produce powerful reactions, and they are known to provoke powerful discussions. I have not, however, known them to ever attack. Not physically!

In High School I saw a Thick Geometry Book hit the hump of a humpback teacher. We had a pretty good idea who abided in the attack.
@GipsyOfNewSpain - I will venture a guess that the perpetrator was someone who did not like geometry?!?
