In order for someone to be empowered do they need to use sex?

Empowerment is overrated.

Empowerment is necessary for good sex! For me anyway.

No! Sex is needed to have fun!

2

No. Not at all.

The obvious answer is maybe. However, if you need sex or need someone to give you sex to be empowered you have some deep seeded issues you might want to look at.

2

Sex is just needed, period.

Of course sex is needed but is it required to be empowered?

@PatrickKerr It is completely dependent on what you as an individual require to feel or be empowered. Empowerment is subjective.
For example music causes me to feel or be in a state of empowerment. It may be something completely different that empowers you.

@PatrickKerr Why would anyone need sex to be empowered?

Eh? Possibly what is really needed here is punctuation?

It could be rephrased better but the sentence construction doesn't warrant anymore punctuation than he used.

Your question doesn't make sense.

How so? I find it to be a perfectly valid question.

@SkepticPower31

"Is sex needed to be empowered?" doesn't make sense. Are you asking "Does sex need to be empowered?

Empowered by whom?

Whose sex?

What sex?

@LiterateHiker The question does not make sense to you would be a more intellectually honest statement.
Self empowerment is definitely a possibility so your assertion that empowerment necessarily is done by an outside agent is false.
A better way to phrase the question would be "Is sex necessary to feel or be empowered". The answer would be maybe. As empowerment is subjective it's reachable based on what you as an individual require to feel or be empowered.
The question was poorly written but does make perfect sense to someone who can see what was implied by the question.

@LiterateHiker I think you are confused on the definition of empowerment being used here.

@SkepticPower31

With a master degree, I am a published author.

You are correct that your question is poorly written.

Empower: verb (used with object)

  1. to give power or authority to; authorize, especially by legal or official means:
    I empowered my agent to make the deal for me. The local ordinance empowers the board of health to close unsanitary restaurants.

  2. to enable or permit:
    Wealth empowered him to live a comfortable life.

@LiterateHiker Appeals to your supposed authority are irrelevant. Having a master degree or being published doesn't make you infallible.
If you're talking about something other than self empowerment as I was using it then we're talking about two different things.

@SkepticPower31

Then why didn't you use the word "self-empowerment"? Clear communication is important in writing and speaking.

1

Isn't empowerment subjective? If so it would depend entirely on what makes the person feel empowered.
