Rainbow flags have been hung in a neighbourhood in support of a gay couple who received a letter calling their relationship "immoral and wrong".
The note, sent to Stephanie Trotter and Vikki Parkey, said they should "move to a more appropriate area" and questioned their right to have a child.
But since it arrived, their neighbours in Hull have backed them, displaying rainbow flags, bunting and posters.
There's a lot of hate in this world, but just once in a while you read a story in the news that makes you think maybe the majority of people are alright...
Yes,thanks for the post.We profess to be modern
but such examples of -Not In My Nieghborhood-
lower any chance for society to improve.
Again with the who would be a good parent-
only those that teach the "Status Quo".....we
can start by cloning Tereasa May, that's a good investment
in the future...
I have had homophobics in class. When I ask why they hate, half say the Bible (and I referred them to What God Has Joined Together: The Christian Case for Gay Marriage
Book by David Myers and Letha Dawson Scanzoni) while the other half would say say, "Ewww, what they do [together] is gross." So I loved to ask, "Why do you think so much about what they do in bed?" (or mention their mother or father in bed --Ewww!)
Is there a flag for "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS"? yet?
