Spotted on a church sign on my way to work:

“Baby lives matter
Stop the madness”

? between shit like this, fake baby graveyards, and several signs talking about how they stand for the flag and kneel at the cross, it’s hard to get anywhere around here without being made sick by my local churches. Way to testify. I get the urge to write a strongly sarcastic, profane, ass reaming letter to each and every one of these institutions of hatred and misinformation. But I also get the impression they contain no one with enough awareness to get the point.

Their message is simple, really

How many of these "pro (human) liefer" own guns and support the NRA. Pro-life should go until death. Maybe someone should put a picture of a gun on the sign. One thing so many fundamentalists have in common is hypocrisy.

A woman just went into labor when she was detained, got no medical attention and the baby died. ICEs response was that a stillbirth doesn’t count as a death in their facilities. The silence from these prolife assholes is deafening.

@Wurlitzer To them if a god practices abortion it's all right.

Sounds like a spray painting job late at knight is needed. Oh, I am so terribly naughty here.

You are correct. They would miss the point.

They like nothing more than heaping misery on top of tragedy. The best advice for people who have miscarried or had an abortion is to move on with their lives, and try to put it behind them, not to make a grave to visit and relive their pain constantly. It wasn’t a baby, it never had a life as we understand it, so why spend the rest of your life visiting a shrine to nonexistence? All lives matter, but only the ones that were born and had some sort of living experience. My advice is just to try and ignore the signs and the other reminders that the churches are using to keep their followers in a constant state of guilt and misery,

The fake baby graveyards aren’t done by grieving mothers as far as I know; that wouldn’t bother me as much. It’s literally just a bunch of little white crosses stuck in the ground in rows as an abortion protest on another church’s lawn. There’s also a Catholic Church downtown that does it and hangs huge banners with pictures of stirred up fetuses. I dunno what they’re hoping to accomplish other than makin me hungry ?

@Wurlitzer Oh yuk! I misunderstood...that is really sick!

While some people may take you to task on "fake baby graveyards" the fact remains that some states go into abortion so religiously that legislation is in the works for even a miscarry to have a funeral and be buried as a living person who died. I don't think you could get any more extreme than this.

They tried that here in Indiana. So glad it didn't pass, but I'm still kinda shocked that someone even wrote such a bill, going so far as to make non-compliance a criminal offense. Nothing like punishing women who've already made one of the hardest decisions/sacrifices of their lives.

Here's hoping that if Trump goes down, Pence goes with him. That man's "convictions" scare the fuck out of me. As they should all women and all allies.
