Thought for today: You don't have to try to fix everything. You should try to understand, though.

'If it ain't broke don't fix it'
I'm good at fixing man-made stuff, but, I also like 'happy accidents' - they make things interesting.
Now with nature, you've got to work with it, no use fighting it. 🙂

I hear you and understanding.

Even understanding sometimes is NOT enough!

@FlippantLlama NOTHING specifically...just my observation, that's all.

That sure was a hard lesson for me to learn....

And then try.

I'm an engineer. My instinctual response is to want to fix things. However, I discovered that, where people are concerned, it's not always the right thing to do.

Some things are not fixable and some things are impossible to understand. Maybe some things we should just accept.

I have a habit of writing down quotes and forgetting to give proper credit to who said them, Your response made me recall this one that I saved: "A breakup is like a broken mirror. Sometimes it is better to leave it than hurt yourself trying to pick up all the pieces". ( All the attempts to understand can sometimes just spiral and it seems futile to think you can reach 'closure'

I googled the quote...it is from Linda Randall Wisdom...appropriate name.

Curiosity and humility: the forgotten values.

I don't understand.....

@FlippantLlama understanding what the problem is, that's half the solution !! ( I like the way you think, no doubt ) ?

@FlippantLlama I'm a fixer too.... That's why I said "I don't understand, " ... ??
