They see their culture dying out because well educated sane people don't care to live their lives by arbitrary rules someone made up 2000 years ago. They are fighting hard and dirty because if you let people choose, no one would choose their way. Same tactics Republicans use to steal elections. They know damn well that if "one person, one vote" were how elections worked they'd never be elected again.

Schools, other than religious based ones that is, ARE for teaching FACTS and knowledge of Facts to the children NOT Fantasies, Superstitions, etc, in my opinion.
