This sort of thing was not even on my radar at that time, I was in a relationship, working to fund the building of our house (he was doing the actual building) while trying to figure out what I was going to do for a living in the future as my job in the printing industry was being phased out by computers.

I also do not care what others do to pleasure themselves but good sex education without all the moral issues Christians attach to sex is extremely important. The moral issue is what got him canned.

I must move in very restrained and genteel circles, or maybe it’s just because I’m old, but I have never discussed with any of my friends, at brunch or at any other time, whether we masturbate, either with or without a dildo. I have no idea what other people do to relieve sexual tensions or to pleasure themselves, nor would I wish to ask them. There seem to be a vast array of sex toys available on the market, for both men and women, some to enjoy with a partner and others for solo fun, so buy and use whatever tickles your fancy...if you’ll pardon the expression ! As for masturbation by hand...I’m sure that is is old as humanity itself, and is a natural human activity, it makes us feel good and anything that good can’t be bad. Religions don’t want us to feel good without their permission, so have told us it’s a sin, they want us to procreate and populate with new converts instead of wasting all that potential life by wanking. In any case we all realise by now that the biggest bunch of wanking hypocrites around are the religious. The Surgeon General should have been given a medal not made to resign for her bravery in talking about the subject of human sexuality which has such fake prudery around it, especially in the USA. These right wing religious types are so repressed and obsessed with sex that they are like ticking time bombs, I would hate to have been married to one of them, and I’d have been expected to produce a string of mini-me replicas!
