Why is it so hard to find friends to just go out and do things with? Like going to events around town, maybe eating out once in awhile and just general socializing?

Just start chatting to people. I do. I was reading something about Gramsci in a queue at Wilkos (British shop) yesterday and this guy started talking to me about communism and political thought. I can sit on our local coffee shop and start chatting about alsorts. Volunteering is a good way too.

@HomeAloneSunday Well not sure my partner would be inpressed.

I feel just as you do with this and I often wonder about it. Then I realize that I do not go anywhere. I would like to have someone to do things with but I simply do not look for them. I mostly stay home instead.

That gets too boring. I've been doing that for too many years now and need a change.

@Mom-goddess I agree but boredom is a personal problem.
