I feel bad for the families and the communities in Alabama that lost family members, and their houses in the devastating aftermath of the tornadoes.
I was watching different news networks and it boggles the mind when I hear some of the comments. Some people were praising god for sparing their lives. Giving god credit for sparing them. My question is. What about that six year child that died, what about the other people that died? Why would a god kill those people, especially a young child and spare them. How can someone believe and worship an idea of a god that according to the book that glorifies his existence, has been killing the innocent since the beginning of time.
And these same people will continually deny that Climate Change is not real or even human caused. Ignorance seems rampant in some parts of the world.
It's the same old circular argument that will probably never be settled. If they believe it hard enough, nothing you say, no amount of totally demonstrable evidence will change their way of thinking. Maybe one day we, as a species, will evolve to the point that we can break that emotional link to reality.
I am not sure if anything can make living in a trailer safer but it sure seems like something they need to investigate,
@noworry28 Better warning systems would help too, give people longer to find shelter. I know there’s a lot of research into that area of weather science.
I’ve only seen one tornado, in NC. Around 80 touched down that day...the warning was on tv, then within seconds debris was hitting the house.
@CarolinaGirl60 That must have been scary.
@noworry28 It should have been, but it happened too fast!
