At least this conspiracy theorist is helping the economy.

One of my co-workers is a conspiracy theorist. Fully believes that scientist are all lying and fox news is the only source or truth. I do not bother to argue, and even when I do point out serious logic flaws he is unable to see it. Anyhow he got a flat tire and came to me complaining about the cost of two tires because you can't just replace one side, the car will then be lopsided and wear out the other tire much faster. I did ask if he had and exotic all wheel drive car as a significant tire diameter difference could possibly wear out a limited slip differential. No he insists that different tire diameters will wear out the tires very quickly which is why you have to replace two tires at a time. And of course he has the internet links to verify this fact. So I get great joy in knowing he is using is powers to help the economy.

Remind him that he should most definitely replace his muffler bearings every 35K miles or his catalytic converter will go bad. Mechanics love guys like him. They probably charged him five to ten bucks to get rid of the not bad tire and will resell it for up to 60 dollars. I know a place to get good used tires at 52 dollars.
