This morning, whilst waiting for my car to be inspected, I sat next to an elderly gentleman (probably in his 70s...is that elderly?) reading a book titled "The Historical Evidence of Jesus" or something like that. And being somewhat of an amateur historian myself (and having read "Nailed" and some other historical books about the subject), I struck up a conversation asking him how he liked the book. We actually had a very nice chat about it. He told me that he was a retired History professor from Amherst College, a life-long Catholic, who had 9 children of his own (and something like 2 dozen grandkids!).

The only thing I've read that looks like Jesus was historical is in Tacitus.
