Atheist spotlight.. Musician and composer Danny Elfman has been atheist since the age of 12. He was the lead singer and songwriter of the popular band Oingo Boingo that was based out of Los Angeles. He wrote songs challenging socialism and communism, and supported capitalism. Since leaving the band in 1995 due to increasing loss of hearing, he went on to become one of the most celebrated modern music composers.

Oingo Boingo is my favorite group but I also listen to Danny Elfman's soundtracks regularly. Love this post. Thank you.

I’ve enjoyed Danny’s music since I heard of him and Weird Science In 1985. He has written scores for several movies since then.

Oh my gosh we used to laugh about this song in the 'olden days'.....Lyrics from "Insects" and written by Danny Elfman:

Flying insects everywhere
Flying insects buzzing buzzing buzzing through the air
Just like little diamonds in the sky
Insects buzzing in my eye
Buzzing insects make me want to dance dance dance
They make me want to dance . . .
Insects crawling all around
Insects squirming in the ground
Insects gooey squeaky chewy
Should I eat them--no
I'd rather stomp them hurt them stomp
Stomp them while I dance dance dance

Hello
how are you doing

See him singing in the movie "back to school." Hear him singing for Jack Skellington in "the Nightmare Before Christmas."

He's already in my top 3, I'm happy to hear this.
