Can I make a small plea and ask PDUA of all members, it maybe a personal thing but I think that I am not alone in that and that a lot of other members share the wish. Or in other words if you have a little bit of a problem with that, it means, "please don't use acronyms", unless you really have to. There you go, really annoying isn't it. And if you have a problem with spelling, then you can find perfectly good second hand dictionaries in most good, used book shops, so that is no excuse.

I agree Mr Apple, acronyms can be difficult for the dyslexic or ppl on ASD. I have to say they are endemic in both my professions.

That is so true, I am dyslexic too so I have an idea. And you also have to remember this is an international site, not all countries share the same convensions.

As a dyslexic I'd like to tell you TGFYS about how easy it is to spell things.

Yes I am dyslexic too, I don't think that most members apprieciate just how much extra effort some people have to put in to making nice posts.

@Fernapple they can't, really.

The frustrating thing is dyslexic jokes seem to be the one subject no one thinks is offensive.

@1of5 That's true, it may in part be due to the fact that it is worst in males, who it seems are fair game for some. But I am of an age, like you perhaps, when there was no such thing as dyslexia when I was at school. In those days the cure was regular punching, slapping and being treated like an idiot, at least I got used to that early on.

@Fernapple on one hand I was lucky, in that my folks were teachers and I had an early diagnosis, and they would let my teachers know about it. On the other hand they didn't tell me till I was 18 because the didn't want me using it as an excuse for, whatever, I guess.
