Finite universe, logically it seems to me that if the universe is infinitely large it also has to be infinitely small. Right now it seems quarks or component strings roughly their size are the smallest things possible. So we are just a few orders of magnitude removed, if the universe were infinitely large it would be an incredible stroke of luck that we were so close to the smallest. Now if you change the frame of reference, if you choose something infinitely larger than us we become infinitely small to them. I think where we are heading is that infinity is a meaningless quirk of math, not relevant to the discussion of the cosmos like the divine spark of life or phlogiston proved to be imaginary barriers that disappeared under scrutiny

I don't know about Infinity. That's a difficult concept to get one's mind around. However I do remember reading somewhere, not sure where, can't back this up, but it was once said that we are as much bigger than the smallest things that we can observe as we are smaller than the biggest things we can observe. That strikes me as profound if true. We are right in the middle of all things if so. Pretty cool huh?

It's relativity and the big bang ...everything is receding from us, we are the the center of the universe and so is everyone else
