I've been away for three weeks. I caught the flu and it was a nasty one indeed. I couldn't get out of bed for three days and for most of the three weeks, I felt like a herd of cattle were stampeding over me while someone repeatedly stuck a pick in the side of my head. Glad that's over! Hope you don't get this one.

"The flu is going around North Central Washington," my doctor said. "Flu shots are wearing off."

I got my flu shot in October 2018. Flu shots generally last four or five months.

That sounds dreadful.
I've not ever had the flu....so I can't say I know how you feel....

And here I was whining about getting a flu shot. Only bothered me for around a minute.

Glad your better.

I caught the flu from every flu shot I ever took in my 20s but now that I'm in my 60s I got over it and have been MUCH healthier. Back in the 70s, they were still administering live vaccines. The killed vaccines are a non-event. Wish I had relented sooner.

@mordant my experience also. Took a break from them till this year, and it worked as advertised.
