there are a few things wrong with the meme. one is the assumption that the two religions named are the only religions in the world. another is the assumption that all liberals are anti-christian. there are liberal christians. they still believe in something i find ridiculous, but they also believe in things i do NOT find ridiculous, like (among many other things) equal rights for all people, common sense gun legislation, the right to health care.... even separation of church and state! yet another is the declaration that rightwingers criticize islam. they don't. criticism would involve analysis and understanding. they don't know how to criticize. they only know how to produce hate speech and they aim it right through islam at muslims, including muslims who just go about their lives minding their own business, periodically praying to a nonexistent god, but still minding their own business and sometimes being pretty nice, otherwise smart people. there are unreasonable muslims who want to kill infidels;they don't understand their own religion. there are unreasonable christians who want to kill or otherwise harass nonchristians; they also do not understand their own religion (westboro springs to mind). i don't need to waste my time criticizing someone's religion. i feel free to criticize what some people do in the name of their respective religions.
