I always remember all the people who died ‘on the other side’. All the ones who didn’t want a war, who didn’t add anything to the conflict, yet got punished for someone else stupidity and greed, because that is all what all wars are about.

Same thing I ask when the religious folks thank their god when the surgeon helps save their relative. How about thanking science and the doctor for saving a life and leave god out of it?????

Religion and war.
They seem to be inseparable, and mostly, completely unnecessary.
The last "necessary" war was WWII, imo.
Ever notice how both are run by rich, old, (usually) white men?
I have no use for any of it.

The people who start the wars are rarely the ones who have to go fight them.

Nothing makes sense when it comes to religion...this is just another case in point. The winning side prays to god for the dead soldiers who gave their lives, and the losing side does the same. All are sent off to war with prayers to god to keep them safe, and for god to let them win, both sides pray for the same thing...yet both believe god is on their side! Why can’t they see that if god was so powerful he would either let them all die, or all survive. It must be obvious to even the most fervent believer, that prayer has no effect against bombs and guns.
