Since they'll be using yeast to produce it instead of roaches, why not give it a try? If it "pretty much tastes like nothing" then add it to other things that have no nutritional value that we consume tons of.

@altschmerz according to the article it's actually difficult to milk the cockroach (boy does that ever sound dirty) so yeast would be modified to produce it.

I think it's funny that people get nervous about eating something a bug produces but have no problem consuming something that bacteria produces, typically as a waste product.
