Back to work after a long break and I see the schedule and burst out laughing.

But it's not an April fool's joke.

They really did switch me to 12 hour shifts with no breaks over nights....😭😱

Fuck that noise! That's illegal and immoral, not to mention a really douchey thing to do.

It's actually not illegal in Kansas unfortunately. I've had to look that up multiple times

No breaks is against labor laws. Talk to your boss or the labor board.

It is not illegal in Kansas, especially in necessary required positions.

@LadyAlyxandrea I'm pretty sure that's against Federal laws. Kansas be damned.

@LadyAlyxandrea i agree with bingst on that.

@bingst @freedom41 : the federal wage and hour law also called the fair labor standards act doesn't require employers to provide meal or rest breaks.

Sorry but the feds don't care

@LadyAlyxandrea, @freedom41 I stand corrected, and very disappointed.

@bingst same here.

@bingst @freedom41 murica. 😵 we are #1....at overworking and underpaying and overcharging

Yeah I looked into it like 4 years ago when I had to work 36 hours straight over black friday

Speak to a supervisor. That's NUTS.

It's temporary because one person is out for indeterminate time for surgical problems and another is in school, and the other OTHER has multiple children.

I'm not the only one with 12s and no break, but I am the only one getting an extra day off every week for it (doctors orders no working me over a certain amount of time a week) so I can't really complain.

Everyone else spent 6 weeks pulling Lisa's and then my weight while juggling everything so it's my turn to help out
