“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Jesus in Mark 11:24

Steven points out

Individualists should note, it’s you PLURAL here & in every similar saying (Mt 7:7,11; 18:19; 21:22; Lk 11:9,13; Jn 14:13,14; 15:7,16; 16:23,24, 26).4.17120

Stephen surveys people who have had such disappointments
Then reports on Twitter

The results are in...when our prayer for something goes unanswered, despite Jesus' apparent promise, what's the excuse?

I think there is a simple way to prove if prayer works or not. It’s the old replace a missing limb test.
Have people pray for someone to have there missing arm or leg or even a missing finger and see if if its ever regrown.

I know what happens then! : Flash of thunder and lightning and suddenly you turn into a starfish [who I think can regenerate a limb].
