A politician on BBC said something very sensible in an interview this morning....an unusual event in itself. She was Caroline Lucas, Green Party MP for Brighton. She was, of course being asked questions about Brexit, but she said that young people who were too young to even vote in the Brexit Referendum are more concerned about global warming and the environment than they are about us leaving the EU. They are going on strike from school to go on protests, and are away ahead of our political leaders on realising that we are heading for disaster if we don’t act now...it is they, and not the mostly quite old climate deniers, who will be the ones who will suffer in years to come. Their education seems to have paid off, and made them much more aware of the environment than their elders....however it may already be too late to reverse the adverse effects of climate change.

@OwlInASack Yes, me too. She was asked by Andrew Marr why the Greens didn’t do as well in the polls as they do in other European countries...she said it’s the fact that we don’t have PR voting system. People perceive it as a wasted vote here in the UK. We need to reform our system, as I think that is true...Lib Dems suffer in the same way.
