Why don't maps of the United States show maps of Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa as insets like they do for Alaska and Hawaii. These areas are technically a part of the US. Have been since 1898, 121 years. We took forcibly, and without the native inhabitants choice.
They are possessions and not states.
because it wouldn't be a map of the United States it would be a map of the United States and its territories. they should be on there though, I believe.

@t1nick really?!? c'mon man... look at who they voted for president, watch them continue to support him. there ain't no dumbing-down they're already lost. look at what they want to watch on television. look at how much money they will spend to go to a concert or a ball game. you can't even have a discussion with most of these people. pointlessness.
I suspect it is because they are territories and not states. What it means beyond that I do not know.
Thats why US citizens do not take them seriously unfortunately. Most do not realize they are part of our nation.
