So DT is taking "$1 billion the Pentagon reprogrammed from counter-narcotics programs, which the Pentagon can accomplish without congressional approval or a national emergency declaration. " A sneaky way to work around Congress. So many state senators, representatives from both political parties, and citizens along the southern border are already unhappy about the mismanagement of border security efforts. Privatizing the solution to this problem makes me even more uneasy about where this decision will take us as a nation. This reminds me of using private Blackwater contractors in Iraq. A slippery slope leading to profiteering and exploiting vulnerable populations.

I think it was decided at the "fear mongers" convention.

Looks like it is. He's a manipulator and has an ability to bend or skirt the law to his own end. That seems to appeal to a segment of our society.

I heard on the news today that the majority of our immigrants never see the border. They're from other nations.
