I saw a scholar of Islam on a BBC programme say that the Koran was open to a multitude of different interpretations. That confused me a bit because I thought it was also the pure unadulterated word of god.
Will there ever be a Muslim enlightenment ?. Not currently in Brunei which seems to be sliding back to the 7th century but for the billions living in Islamic countries I hope so.
