Am I the only one here that's painfully agoraphobic?
Online I love attention, but in life sometimes I just want to lock myself in my apartment and never go outside again.
Is that weird?

Well you are with people during the day, so may just need quiet time to reboot.

We are all different. It is best to adjust to how you feel rather than adjust to what others feel.
If you want to change that, that is your choice. If it is possible or not, who knows.

I switch up? It's strange. I was a shy kid. Up unto my early 20s I hated being around people for extended amounts of time. My favorite activity was being left alone. Let me read, play games, watch TV. Fuck people.

When I became a reporter it necessitated a personality change, and I grew more comfortable around people. My social skills are fine, and sometimes I even look forward to it. I like a lot of the people I'm forced to interact with, even ... but I still have ... IDK ... a battery life? I get drained doing it after a while and just wanna go home.

I think the difference between extroverts and introverts, is extroverts are e energized being around people and introverts can like being around them, but it takes something and they need alone time to recover. I am an extrovert, but with so many people all day, I like to be away from it, though I would sti hang with close friend or partner after.

According to Dictionary.com Agoraphobia = an abnormal fear of being in crowds, public places, or open areas, sometimes accompanied by anxiety attacks. (I had to look it up)

I think it's more common than most people think. I know many people that experience this. I don't know if this qualifies but am somewhat nervous when attending, say a party or function where I don't know anyone. I believe most people would have some anxiety in similar situations. If it interferes with your life or is debilitating you might want to talk to someone about it. You seem very intelligent smarter than me anyway. I had to look it up and I noticed Dictionary.com was third on my most common address use. Good luck and try to live life to its fullest.

Not at all. It just means you like your privacy, even if others label you a 'recluse'.
