What do people think about belief systems that do not involve god?
Let's start with Veganism.
40 years back the vegans I knew were what I would loosely describe as 'health nuts' and in addition to no animal products also demanded organic products.
Yet I find today that many vegans are fully behind GMOs and believe organics are less viable than GMOs as well as intensive chemical farming.
I get the feeling that Veganism has taken on the the character of a religion and has probably been hijacked by the AgroChemical industry, along with all the manipulation that entails - which adds to its character as a 'religion'.

In my opinion, many Vegans/Vegetarians have become a sort of Terrorist of the Human Dietary System as they have tried to form/force their dietary 'religion' upon the world just as other religions have done down through the centuries.
