So all in one day yesterday, had an interview, got notice to quit our rental property and was messaged by a relative I didn't know I had (she's genuine, she had pics of my Mum and grandma). Anyway looks like I'll be homeless in a couple of months. I do have a house I own but it was my old martial home. Full of memories.

Stay in your house until it is sold. Is that really that intolerable? You must have also had a lot of good times there, think of those. Wouldn't that be better than being homeless? Are you not under a lease for the rental property?

The lease expired so we rented month to month. I am not in the marital home. I left when my ex ended our marriage.

@Amisja I see. Sorry you're not in the states. You would be welcome to stay with us. It is the Christian thing to do.

@Amisja don't you have family to stay with?

Well FML...my phone is dying. I give up. Anyone got a spare £100k?

Advice from a numbers guy: If you still own the house, sell it or move back in. Cover the bad memories with sheets. Do this until you get back on your feet.
