We never did learn from Watergate and the betting is that we won't either from Trump. And Trump makes Nixon look good by comparison!

The old dictum that those who refuse to learn from history are bound to repeat it, is quite right. The US is a case in point. Vietnam - Afghanistan; Nixon - Trump.

Politicians did learn. They learned how to cover their asses.

I'm more worried about what Wall Street, the military-industrial complex, and the Central Banking cartel are doing to us. The idiot in the White House is little more than a puppet to those who are really running the show.

It's the the military-industrial-entertainment complex -- they're all spreading their tentacles all over the world.

@jerry99 And the Central Banking cartels are only too happy to finance their neverending wars. Not to mention how Wall Street has thoroughly fucked our economy more than once. The last go around only cost us about $7 trillion (I quit keeping track of the full measure of the "quantitative easing" in 2013). Even Jefferson pointed out that banks were more dangerous than standing armies.

Worrying about which moron is currently in the White House while we hve the federal reserve, the military, and Wall Street running amok, is a lot like being worried about someone with a cold during the middle of an ebola outbreak.
